Roundtable Discussion on “Cambodia’s Foreign Policy (Re)alignment Amid Great Powers Politics” 1024 683 Cambodia Development Center
CD-Center, RUPP, and IISPP co-organized a Roundtable Discussion on “Cambodia’s Foreign Policy (Re)alignment Amid Great Power Politics” with Professor. Dr. UN Kheang as the Presenter, with H.E. Mr. TEAN Samnang, and Mr. PO Sovinda as the discussants, at the SIVASRAMA Hall, IISPP, RUPP.
In the discussion, Prof. Dr. UN touched upon Cambodia’s foreign policy alignment and realignment towards the great powers in the context of changing global geopolitics. He also examined the U.S.’ engagement in Cambodia under liberal hegemony, Cambodia’s limited-bandwagoning strategy toward China, and Cambodia’s hedging strategy toward Japan and Japan’s strategic political and economic interests in Cambodia. The Roundtable Discussion also followed by intervention made by our discussants to exchange their perspectives on the paper regarding the prospects of Cambodia’s foreign policy choice amid great power politics.
CD-Center would like to extend our appreciation to IISPP, RUPP, our partners, the public and students for their valuable time in joining and actively participating in the Roundtable discussion this morning.
