In the morning of 19 December 2022, Cambodia Development Center commenced the 2022 Training Program for Creative Practice of Saemaul Development under the topic “The Success Story of Modern Korea: How Korea Outstandingly Achieved Economic and Social Development”.
The opening ceremony was presided over by H.E. Dr. Sok Silo (Cambodia side), accompanied by H.E. Dav Ansan; and Prof. Dr. Kim Kisu (Korea side), Director of IIDC, Yeungnam University. H.E. Dr. Sok Silo had the pleasure to deliver the Special Remarks to the trainees and our partner at Yeungnam University by introducing our Center and activities as well as sharing his experiences regarding the implementation of Saemaul Undong in Cambodia.
During the Program, our participants are divided into 3 groups, each has the opportunity to conduct presentations on their view as the social and economic development challenges. By the end of the program, they will prepare an Action Plan with feasible solutions to those challenges by using what they learn.
