Biography

H.E. Dr. Sok Silo is a Chairman of Board of Director at Cambodia Development Center. He is currently the Secretary General of the Council for Agricultural and Rural Development (CARD).

With more than 20 years working experiences in the fields of administration, coordination in agricultural and rural development and food security and nutrition sector in the government institutions, and development partner agencies including 4 years in the Cabinet of the Minister as the Private Secretary to the Minister for Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), nearly 5 years in the Office of the Council of Ministers (OCM) as the Director of Administration and Finance Department of the Council for Agricultural and Rural Development (CARD), 4 years in OCM as the Director of Administration Department of CARD and then has been promoted as the Deputy Secretary General of CARD in charge of agriculture and food security and nutrition since August 2007, Dr. Sok Silo brings an outstanding public relation, coordination, management, agriculture and rural development, food security and nutrition sector and networking background to his work.

Dr. Silo actively participates in decision making, negotiation, discussion and dissemination, especially with the high ranking officers from the government institutions, embassies, development partners, international organizations, NGOs, and private sector. He holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration in the fields of Economics in 1994, Master degree in Business Administration major in Finance in 2003, and Doctoral degree in Business Administration in 2009. He is currently a member of Cambodian-German Friendship Association, Australian Alumni Association, Cambodian Economic Association and Vice President of Cambodian- Korean Alumni Association (CAMKAA).
