Despite widely regarded as having low research performance, Cambodia is now seeing a new ray of hope as the government is promoting the a research culture and capacity in the country via the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports—including a series of research projects funding and the provision of professorial titles for researchers that meet the qualifications.
